Also in 1933 Calori published "L'ora K", finding great satisfaction in this.
Always with an easy pen, Calori wrote both prose and poetry. We often find in his correspondence various kinds of appreciation of his compositions, which he sent to friends and relatives, almost exclusively for private use.
It was thanks to the interest of a friend that Calori made the decision to collect his war stories in a volume and propose them to a publishing house, first contacting, in vain, "L'Eroica" of Milan, and then finding fertile ground at STERM in Ravenna, which already boasted several publications by war veterans in its catalogue.
In less than a year the first edition of "L'ora k" of 1,000 copies sold out and a second edition was printed.
Again from personal correspondence it can be seen that Calori also sent copies of his book to Riccardo Bacchelli and Paolo Monelli, both veterans, born in 1891, writers and men of letters, in the cultural orbit of Bologna with whom Calori was probably in friendship or professionally in contact.
